I have however been able to successfully decrypt and read encrypted emails in Yosemite's Mail.app with the Centrify middleware, although sometimes it takes clicking another email and coming back to the encrypted email to properly decrypt. The solution we are using right now had no issues in Mavericks. Using PIV-I cards in our environment with Centrify/SmartCard Services/Charismathics/ActiveClient middleware all yield the same result: Outlook 2011 cannot consistently decrypt encrypted email messages in Yosemite. Hi Brian, I can confirm the issue ebr3 is having.

But the compatible platform version list on the download page is accurate: - Kind regards, Brian. The readme file will be corrected in the next update. Have you confirmed that the additional -31 & -32 certs have also been added to your SystemCACertificates Keychain? We have confirmation from Engineering that 5.2.0-218 does support Yosemite. Hi ebr3, The needed cert is expected to be in your SystemCACertificates keychain - do you know specifically which DoD cert you need to decrypt your mail? It looks like the SystemCACertificates keychain that is packaged with Yosemite only goes up to DOD CA-30 / DOD EMAIL CA-30, whereas the DoD PKI Management Site and show that it now goes up to DOD CA-32 / DOD EMAIL CA-32. Where is Centrify expecting to find the issuer certificate as my issuer certification chain is in both MicrosoftIntermediate Certificates and the SystemCACertificates keychains? OBTW, the ReadMe file in the 5.2.0-218 installer does not say it supports OS X 10.10, only 10.7, 10.8, and 10.9. W hen I run SCA diagnostics I see “Could not get issuer certificate”.

The PIV token shows up in Keychain, the private keys are present, and both certificates pass the evaluation checks for SMIME and Generic (certification path). This is for my Lockheed Martin issued PIV smart card. Outlook shows an error of private key missing or invalid when I try to decrypt email (encrypting and signing seem to work fine). I followed those steps and it still doesn't work. This is true for both CAC and PIV tokens.

I can see the private key on the smart card in keychain and verify it is valid. We will continue to ensure compatibility of existing macros and make improvements to the IDE.

We recommend that customers develop macros or VB add-ins in Office for Windows and use Office for Mac to debug if needed. Office 2016 for Mac provides a simplified Visual Basic Editor (VBE) for viewing/debugging existing macros. Overall, OS 10.10 is a stable and responsive operating system - when it works.

With Yosemite, Apple made the Mac OS a bit slimmer and faster while keeping the familiar feel that users love. I get an error in Outlook 2011 that says the private key is missing or invalid. I am able to sign and encrypt, but not able to decrypt although 1 in 10 times I can see what used to be encrypted content. Once I upgraded to Yosemite it stopped working. I've been using Centrify Express for Smart Card successfully for both CAC and company-issued PIV smart cards on Mavericks.
